Just down the road, mere hours from the Jerez circuit lies Estoril, where the Portuguese round of the MotoGP championship will take place this weekend. The Jerez round was plagued with very unpredictable weather with lots of rain during practice and a continued threat of rain during qualifying and the race itself. Unfortunately, this weekend’s weather isn’t looking much better. There is a 50-60% chance of rain for Friday and Saturday while Sunday looks to be Sunny and dry but still chilly. Lorenzo will surely be looking to finish ahead of Stoner to maintain his championship lead. Stoner will undoubtedly be relentless in his pursuit of early points toward another championship all the while Pedrosa, Crutchlow and Dovizioso will undoubtedly do their best to upset the rostrum. Ducati also looks to finally be making some steps forward. Hayden seems to have found a comfortable setting for himself while Rossi is also making some improvements. CRT riders DePuniet and Edwards are also undoubtedly looking to improve on their previous round results.
