The first name on the list of “Newcomers” shown on the Isle of Man 2010 website (Newcomers – The official Isle of Man TT website) is Brandon Cretu, and he couldn’t be more excited about it.
“Ever since the first time I watched video of the Isle of Man TT, I wanted to race in it. I really made the decision to work toward this while I was recovering from my broken neck in 2007. In 2008 I went over and helped out a team to learn more and get some experience, then in 2009 I was able to do the Ulster GP. This year, I’ll race in the Isle of Man TT. I’m not exaggerating when I say this is a dream come true.”
Motorcycle riders all over the world have watched TV coverage of the Isle of Man TT, and been amazed at the spectacle of it all. All of us are blown away by the fact that this beautiful and peaceful island in the Irish Sea is virtually shut down for a couple of weeks each year, so that courageous racers from all over the world can test themselves and their machines, on a 37 mile course that winds through small villages and twisty mountain terrain.
